When it comes to cars I'm a bit more relaxed about tyres than on my motorcycles, but hey, this Primacy SUV set of tyres I got on my RAV4 pleasantly transformed the car. Now ok a RAV4 is not a performance vehicle by any means, yet the predictable performance provided by the Michelin's is certainly giving me peace of mind. Happy to recommend the Primacy SUV.

After taking delivery of my RAV4 Hybrid GX I could not believe how noisy the stock Bridgestone Alenza tyres were. After 1000km I replaced them with these tyres. I cannot tell you how much quieter the Michelin tyres were. However, after travelling 40 000 km, with the tyre about half worn, they have developed a loud drone. It is not tread whine but a drone from the casing. It is so bad that at 60 km/h it sounds like both rear wheel bearings have failed. Deciding whether to replace them or just put up with it? Other than that they still tranfer little noise into the cabin, and retain their excellent grip in wet and dry. Great tyre, with this one annoyinhg flaw. I put it down to the very elastic construction of the carcass. Very low rolling resistance, but prone to harmonic vibrations due to the low internal damping.
