So far so good

I run a Range Rover Classic and its becoming more difficult to find 235/70/16 tyres, Michelin had a deal on for £40 off 4 tyres (although I have yet to see the rebate!!) I thought the tyres might be noisy given how aggressive the tread is on the outside (asymmetric tyre pattern) but no they are very civilised, grip in mud seems very good, dry/wet is grip also good, They are classed as s summer tyre, but I don't think they'll have any issues in what passes for winter in the S/E of the UK

A great purchase

I normally choose Cross Climates but I have just bought a second hand Nissan Navara and cross climates are not available in the that size. The tyre dealer had an offer on for General Tires but as I have had such a positive experience of the cross climates on my RWD van i stuck with Michelin even though they were a bit dearer. Glad i did. They look great, and they are not noisy which I must confess was a slight worry when i saw them fitted as they do look like a chunky tyre. My pick up is RWD with selectable 4WD. The only real test i’ve had with them on tricky terrain so far was towing my 1600kg trailer on wet grass. I had to stop mid way as some official in a yellow vest had to check I knew where I was going, setting off again was no bother, no need for 4WD. Be interesting to see how they handle the colder months and snow, if we get any. I’m very impressed and would not hesitate to recommend.

Great tyres.

This is now my 4th set of these tyres on a Toyota Hilux, again they have done 30,000 mile and still had 2.5 / 3 mm left on them. Great road holding and braking in the wet. Quiet. Good enough in the snow we encounter and good off road in fields and lanes.

Great tyres.

Just about to purchase my 3rd set of these on a Hilux pick up. The last ones have done 30,000 miles. They are great on the road and grip well in the wet English weather and don't slip, where others on the pick up did slip. They were also good in the little snow that we do get. They are very quiet and are great going off road up farm tracks and across fields. There are other tyres that are better off road for muddy wet fields and give more mileage but i found those not as good a grip on the road and noisy. These are also a nice looking tyre, chunky enough without looking like a tractor tyre on a pick up. Therefore they more than meet my needs.

brilliant solid AT highway tyre

I ran these tyres when I lived in Tasmania and they are stand out brilliant for cold wet tarmac twists and turns along with the sharp high speed gravel roads. They are not a MT and will clog, but hold their own very well in tough firetrails and 4wd tracks that are rocky, not mud pits. Definite advantage pulling onto the blacktop after a day on the trails and within 50m having solid grip and handling like a performance sport highway tyre. Recommend for subaru's / rav4's / xtrails / pajero io's / grand vitara's and other car-like 4wd's.

Brilliant all round tyre

Wearing them on a VW T5 4Mo for about 4000 miles so far. Didnt want an aggresive AT tyre and this fits the bill perfectly for me. Trip to France West coast, motorway (wet & dry) was faultless, low noise good response at speed. In the sand and gravelly, hilly tracks good too. If i get the millage that Michelin are known for I'll be more than happy. Definitely recomended

Product Information

Hi, I recently contacted Michelin Australia using an online form for my query. After waiting several days for a reply I phoned and spoke to a sales representative that was unable to comment on the technical information I was seeking. The sales representative made a commitment to forward my contact details to a dealership representative who I was informed would contact me to assist with my query. Three weeks have passed and I have had no response. The matter for which I was seeking tyre information concerns the Michelin Australia website, namely the MICHELIN LATITUDE CROSS - 235/70R16 106H ( https://www.michelin.com.au/auto/tyres/michelin-latitude-cross ). Using the above link, when I scroll the images of the Latitude Cross tyre there are two different tread patterns exhibited. I run six tyres and over two generations of tyres (120,000 – 130,000 kilometres per generation) I am looking into my third generation of Michelins. In the present and former generation the tread patterns have been “asymmetric.” Please confirm the 2020 tread pattern applicable for MICHELIN LATITUDE CROSS - 235/70R16 106H; tread image appreciated. Would you recommend this tyre to a friend? No, due the the Michelin website contrasting product image display information.
