Bad tyre dance
1 tyre is out off round and need to be balanced all the time. Tyres have now done around 40,000km and it now has bad tyre dancing at around 75km speed

Soft tyres but VERY noisy above 60km/h
I am a long time fan of Michelin tyres and have always used the Pilot Sport range on my BMWs. They are the best tyre by a long way so I decided to try the LTX Trail on my BMW X5 which i use 80% on-road/20% off-road. The LTX Trail produced a nice soft ride and was softer than the Goodyear Wrangler Silentrac tyres i replaced however the Michelins were making a humming sound at 60km/h and it got louder by 80km/h to the point it was unbearable. The Goodyear tyres that these replaced were quiet and made no humming sound even after 75k kms of wear. Lucky Michelin had a 30 day money back guarantee and I returned the tyres and fitted Goodyear Wrangler Silenttrac again and the car was back to being silent. It is a real pity as I liked the soft ride of the Michelins around Sydney's potholed roads however the softer tyres also meant that there was more body roll in corners but I could live with that but not the loud noise.
Excellent
Excellent tyre for stick in the wet & dry. Quite, no road noise. I have been lucky purchasing these tyre during a period of high rain levels & they stick to the road like having duck feet fitted to your car. I have pushed them both in the wet & dry & the result is excellent. Handing, turn in, all excellent & no aquaplaning in the wet. I have tried a few different brands & type of tyres on my ute but nothing even comes close. I have a car racing background so I have definitely been in the position to really test these tyres & I haven't been disappointed in any area. Pushing a 2 ton ute through its phases in both wet & dry really let's you know what you have underneath you. Can't tell you yet what the wear is like as I haven't had them on the car long yet, only time will tell that story. My normal rule of thumb though, is if you want a tyre that will wear well, you won't have a tyre that sticks when you need it to. For safety I would rather have a tyre that sticks & handles well & replace it when it's worn regardless the k's. It's cheaper than replacing your life. We will wait & see about wear.
Game changer
After 5000 kms in our new caravan we swapped all 4 cheap branded plus the spare, all terrain tyres over to Michelin LTX trail. Same pressure same size. I have had Michelin before on my work vehicle and they were great. Gosh what a difference, quite unbelievable actually. Gone is the skiddish sideway movement when a road train whizzes past. Gone is white knuckle driving when there is a strong side wind. What all from new tyres? You bet.
