Another Great Tyre in the Anakee range!
I've previously used Anakee Adventure tyres on my old Vstrom 650, so I was keen to switch back to Michelin on my new Vstrom 1050 once the factory tyres had worn out. I spend the majority my time on tar so I was really pleased when Michelin released the Anakee Road. First impressions are the great look. The sidewall markings look terrific and there's plenty of dual compound tread. On the road these tyres feel excellent. They grip tremendously well on the twisties and that grip continues in wet conditions. Being a 90/10 tyre they're not a dedicated dirt tyre yet they feel pretty good on an established dirt road for short runs. On the Nullarbor Plain the tyres resisted flat spotting as badly as other brands I've had. 6,000km down the road and I can confidently say the Anakee Road is an excellent choice if you spend most of your time on Bitumen. Highly recommended.
Great grip, hard wearing, what I've come to expect from Michelin!
I have been a big fan of Anakee Adventure tyres for a number of years but on hearing about the Anakee Road, I decided to give them a try as the 90/10 profile better suits my current riding habits. First impressions are of a much quieter ride on the tar than the Adventure and excellent grip in wet and dry conditions. Even torrential rain didn't unstick the Anakee Road. The bike handles very positively with Anakee Road and on the Aussie highways, where there is a lot of straight line running, they seem to resist flat spotting for a long time. I've been very happy with the Anakee Roads. I highly recommend them. I only ever buy Michelin tyres for my motorcycle...they're the best.
Impressive traction
About 1,000 miles into my first set of these tires and I am impressed. Coming from a set of Michelin Road 6 tires, these feel every bit as stable on the road with notable extra confidence on loose terrain. They look great too!
