Good tire

Bought a HD pan america with these tires. So far I've been happy with the performance. Front tire reached roughly 12k miles before tread wear began developing vibrations above 60mph. Rear tire averaged 8k miles before tread wear thinned to not quite slick levels. Dirt and semi packed gravel give no problem while dry but vegetated sand can just push out of the way unexpectedly. On road use, wet or dry, is above satisfactory with no unintended loss of traction and feels very responsive even when used aggressively. Overall very happy with these tires.

Pan America Stock Tire

!0, 650 miles on this set with rear down to wear bars in one place in the center. Great performance off road, on road and in wet weather but frustrating with TP warnings as the pressure varies greatly with altitude and temperature. Setting it exactly as the manual says, 36/42 at 68 degrees nearly every morning low pressure warnings and several afternoon high pressure warnings. Front tire has many more miles to go but rear is done probably because 42 psi at 68 degrees is high for western interstate speeds at high temperatures. I have bought five rear tires for my Pan Americas including a competitors tire. I will stick with Scorcher tires because they are smooth riding and comfortable on the 10% off road I actually use them.

Blazing new trails with the Scorchers!

I’m thoroughly impressed with these tires on my Pan America, the communication and road feel are excellent, I’m glad the rear tire has the 2CT dual compound and wonder why the front does not. I feel some wash over tar snakes at full lean but any tire will do that. The treadwear has been excellent and I’d recommend these tires to anyone who’s considering them. I put Michelin’s on every bike I’ve owned, nothing but the best! Thank you Michelin! Keep up the great work!
