Pilot Road 6 France/Spain tour
Had these fitted to my Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally, for our tour through France and Spain. What a tyre! We had a mix of weather, including torrential rain and cold temperatures, followed by bone dry roads and high temperatures. The tyres performed brilliantly in all weathers, great feel and grip and inspired real confidence.
It warms up quickly and performs well in the rain.
When I bought my motorcycle, it had a Road 5 GT on it. Now I’ve bought a Road 6 because I thought the weight of the bike didn’t justify the GT version. The tyre has worked out very well for me, but at first it felt very strange, since this tyre is softer than the GT version, and you can definitely feel that in corners. I recommend it to everyone who has a sport-touring motorcycle, because it’s great both for touring and for a bit of track riding as well.
Best tyre in the world
I have a tiger 1050 and a street triple RS, the tyres offer pretty much instant grip, barely need to warm them up, they wear unbelievably well, the wet weather grip is more than I could ever dream of, and on a summers day on my 765RS I much prefer them to the Rosso Corsa 4’s that it came with, I genuinely can’t out ride a road 6 tyre…. And I’m no slouch.
After around 300k bike miles, i've found the perfect tyre.
Now on my fourth set of Pilot 6 tyres, on a k1300A and an R1250RS, these tyres perform from the moment they start to roll, the least amount of scrubbing-in that I've experienced and over 7k miles per set, with the front profile being the main reason for swapping over to new tyres. Predicable in the dry and remarkable wet grip that feels to defy physics. This will be the default tyre for me.
Still the best for a GSA
Fantastic tyres in all weather and on all surfaces, great durability too
